Carolina Mckee
Carolina has lived in Brooklyn for six years and can't imagine leaving. She's one of eleven children — a big Kansas family! — and, being one of the older kids, has not only had tons of experience with little ones but has a deep affinity for them. She supposes that's why she loves working at the Co-Op School so much: it's like being at home.
Vanesa Zenquiz
Vanesa was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She studied Education and History at SUNY New Paltz, and is the oldest sibling out of four children. Vanesa has always had a passion for teaching: growing up she always made her siblings play "school", and she always got to play the teacher. This is her third year at the Co-Op School and she considers each year a wonderful learning experience in which she takes time to create a loving and educational environment for her students. Vanesa loves learning about each child as an individual, as they are all very special. She enjoys creating new projects for them, where they can showcase all of their talents and creativity. In her free time she likes shopping, scrapbooking and cooking — especially baking!
Shaniqua Pippen
Shaniqua was born in Queens, New York and moved to Brooklyn eight years later. As one of seven siblings, she learned at a young age that she loved to care for and teach children anything and everything they wanted to know. She attended the High School of Art and Design where she studied Art intensively, double majoring in Fine Arts and Photography. She later began pursuing a career in education and graduated from The University at Buffalo with a Bachelors in English and the intention of teaching high school English. However, after a taste of early childhood education, she fell in love. Outside of the Co-Op school Shaniqua coaches varsity bowling and softball and is an all around lover of sports. She is very excited about being part of the Co-Op School team and looks forward to growing with the school as it continues to evolve and become even more amazing.
