Sherleen Petion was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She graduated from Nyack College with a B.A. in Early Childhood Education. She is currently attending Brooklyn College's Graduate Program in Early Intervention. Her favorite thing to do is to write, and she incorporates this into teaching by making sure the learning experience for every student is exciting and fun.
Joan Puchalski is from New Jersey. She studied Art and Design Education at Pratt Institute, and has worked with children and adults in art classrooms and horticulture settings. She loves being outdoors and observing nature. She enjoys bringing her gardening knowledge into the classroom with exciting projects that involve plants and animals.
Micah Bowie is from Berkeley, California. Micah loves to fish, and aims to incorporate that love by teaching patience, having fun, and the understanding of our environment.
Miranda Featherstone grew up in East Lansing, Michigan and Gloucester, Massachusetts. She graduated from Harvard University, where she studied American History and Literature. She has worked as a nanny and taught drama and art to children. Currently she works as an editor and writes fiction in addition to enjoying her days with the Butterflies!
