Christie Gallagher
Christie was born and raised in Queens, New York. She received her B.A. in education and M.S. in special education from Brooklyn College. When she was three years old, she entered preschool and met her lifetime role model: her teacher. For as long as she could remember, she always dreamed of being a teacher. She loves teaching young children, especially when their curiosity, personality, and eagerness to learn instantly takes over the classroom. She is thankful for being part of a wonderful community that continues to grow each year.
Micah Bowie
Micah was born and raised in Albany, California, and is now an assistant in the Crickets classroom. He headed to New York out of curiosity and as of today has been a New Yorker for over 9 years. Micah has been working for the Co-Op School for four years. He has a strong passion for fishing, both salt water and fresh water fish. He is also an artist working in tribal pen and ink on found objects. He has been enjoying showing his art around the city. Micah has had a passion for teaching and he has been doing so since his start as a freshman in high school, volunteering at the nursery school nearby. He aims to incorporate his passions and loves into the classroom by teaching patience, having fun and exploring the understanding of our environment.
